Fishing

According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, you may fish recreationally without a license from public piers in ocean or bay waters. There are many public piers across the Bay, so grab your fishing gear and head out to some of these spots. Candlestick Point and Pier 7 are great options for people in San Francisco while Dumbarton Pier in Fremont and Point Pinole Fishing Pier in Richmond are popular destinations with opportunities to view sharks, rays, sturgeon, kingfish, and many other fish.
